About Calgary Keiko’s Recreational Swim Club

Club Overview

The Calgary Keikos Recreational Swim Club is dedicated to encouraging overall self-improvement by providing opportunities to develop skills, knowledge, and values necessary for each individual to become a capable, concerned participant in the swimming community. The club is run by a volunteer board.

Club Focus

The club's focus is on skills improvement, personal achievement, and creating a fun, supportive environment. Keikos operates out of Foothills Aquatic Centre from September through April. Regular swim practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with an optional Friday swim. Throughout the season, Keikos typically hosts two swim meets with other comparable clubs in Calgary. Swimmers also have an opportunity to participate in four other meets hosted by different clubs in Calgary.

Joining Requirements

Competitive swim experience is not necessary. However, participants joining Keikos must have basic swim skills (able to swim 25 meters freestyle unassisted) and be comfortable in the water.
